When my husband and I adopted Bruce, he was 2 months old and had one perfect eye and one blind one. The SF SPCA vets gave us a 2 month commitment to care, saying that if his eye got infected, they would remove it. After six weeks, his eye got infected and the wonderful staff at the SPCA hospital removed it – it was really sad but we were glad he wasn’t suffering anymore.
And since the moment we met him at the SPCA, he’s been nothing but a loving, snuggly cuddle bug who sleeps in our bed, carries his toys to us so we’ll play with him, and loves everyone (cat, person, dog) equally. We are totally obsessed with him and can’t wait to adopt a friend for him from the SF SPCA.
